Terms of Service

1. Engagement Duration & Overtime

The standard engagement period is five (5) hours, commencing from the agreed start time stated in the booking confirmation.

Any additional time required beyond the standard engagement period will be charged at £100 per additional hour, billed in hourly increments.
Overtime rates exclude international engagements, which will be priced separately.

2. Call-Out Fees & Travel

  • Events within the City of London, England are subject to a £200 call-out fee, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Events outside Greater London are subject to a £500 call-out fee.

  • For events outside the United Kingdom, applicable call-out fees and associated travel costs will be quoted based on the destination.

Alternatively, the client may arrange and cover all required travel and accommodation in line with Tosin’s reasonable requirements, which will be communicated in advance.

3. Booking Confirmation & Payments

  • A 50% deposit of the total agreed fee is required to confirm a provisional booking.

  • Instalment payments are accepted; however, the event date is not fully secured until at least 70% of the total fee has been received.

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than two (2) weeks prior to the event date.

Failure to settle the outstanding balance by this deadline will result in the booking being released, and Tosin will be under no obligation to provide services.

4. Cancellations by the Client

In the event of a client-initiated cancellation:

  • Within 12 weeks of the event date:
100% of the standard service charge is non-refundable.

  • More than 12 weeks before the event date:
50% of the standard service charge is non-refundable, retained as a booking fee.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to be valid.

5. Cancellations by Tosin

In the unlikely event that Tosin is unable to fulfil the engagement due to unforeseen circumstances:

  • The client will be referred to a replacement MC of comparable experience and standard, where available.

  • If no suitable alternative can be provided, all payments made will be fully refunded.

Tosin will never cancel an agreed booking in favour of another event.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate event details, timelines, and running orders in a timely manner.

  • Ensure Tosin has appropriate access to the venue, stage, sound system, and event coordinators as required.

  • Ensure a safe and professional working environment.

Delays or issues caused by incomplete or incorrect information may impact performance quality and timing, for which Tosin cannot be held responsible.

7. Changes to the Event

Any significant changes to the event date, location, duration, or scope of services must be communicated as soon as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional fees.

A change of event date is considered a cancellation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, natural disasters, illness, or venue closure.
In such cases, both parties agree to act in good faith to reschedule where possible.

9. Use of Media & Promotion

Tosin reserves the right to use photographs and video recordings captured during the engagement for promotional and marketing purposes, including online and social media platforms.

If the client does not wish for any media to be used, this must be communicated in writing prior to the event.

10. Professional Conduct

Tosin will perform all services with professionalism, discretion, and respect for the event, its guests, and cultural sensitivities.
Abusive, unsafe, or unlawful behaviour towards Tosin will result in immediate termination of services, with no refund issued.

11. Limitation of Liability

Tosin shall not be held liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to reputational damage, technical failures outside of Tosin’s control, or third-party service failures.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
